# Installing the PowerSchool Plugin
|
|
|
1. After [downloading the plugin zip file](uploads/d3beb6039fe2c4d9610e2306696ef0df/Backup_Data_Exports_PQ_Scripts_v1.0.3.zip), log into PowerSchool and navigate to "System" -> "System Settings" -> "Plugin Management Configuration" (“System Management” -> “Server” -> “Plugin Configuration” in the new UI)

1. After [downloading the plugin zip file](/home#project-downloads), log into PowerSchool and navigate to "System" -> "System Settings" -> "Plugin Management Configuration" (“System Management” -> “Server” -> “Plugin Configuration” in the new UI)
|
|
|
2. Click “Install” -> “Choose File” -> Browse to and select the plugin zip file -> Click “Install”
|
|
|
3. Browse to “Backup Data Exports PQ Scripts” and check the box to Enable and then click “Enable”.
|
|
|
4. Click on the name for “Backup Data Exports PQ Scripts”, then click “Data Provider Configuration”.
|
|
|
5. Make note of the “Client ID” and “Client Secret”, as they will be needed to configure the plugin. Keep these numbers secure!
|

|
|
|
|
# Updating the PowerSchool Plugin
|
|
|
1. After [downloading the plugin zip file](/home#project-downloads), log into PowerSchool and navigate to "System" -> "System Settings" -> "Plugin Management Configuration" (“System Management” -> “Server” -> “Plugin Configuration” in the new UI)
|
|
|
2. Click “Backup Data Exports PQ Scripts”.
|
|
|
3. Click "Update".
|
|
|
4. Select the downloaded file and click "Submit"
|
|
|
5. It will prompt you to enable the newly updated plugin. |
